In addition, she explains the importance of helping these juvenile offenders to stop their crimes, rather than simply incarcerating them. My name is Simon Cole; I'm an associate professor and the chair of the department of criminology, law and society, in the school of social ecology. I do research on the interaction between science and the law, my primary interest is fingerprints identification and the use of finger prints identification in the criminal justice system.

She challenges general assumptions regarding those who are affected and why, and seeks to promote further understanding of the diversity of emotions regarding personal trauma.
In order to discover the secrets of successful teams, Kristin Behfar's research is focused on finding out exactly why certain teams perform better than others. Through surveys, studies, and general observation, she has uncovered several key elements that, although fairly simple, can drastically alter team performance for the better.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Idaho where he was recognized as both a Jeppeson and L.H. Gipson Scholar. Christopher's work focuses on using mild sensory stimulation to protect the brain from stroke -- the third leading cause of death and the primary cause of long-term disability in the United States. His research is the first of its kind to demonstrate that a non-pharmacological, mild sensory stimulus-based treatment may completely protect the brain from stroke damage, and if proven applicable to humans, could radically change the way stroke victims are treated. Christopher is advised by Dr. Ron Frostig, has garnered a fellowship from the American Heart Association, and received awards from the Institute of Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders, and from the Society for Neuroscience.

In this day of funding cuts it is important to explain the impact and engagement of research in our communities to make sure research and innovation continues to be noticed and funded.
